I've always
wondered by courier companies never ring the person they are going to delivery
to before they send the goods out to check if anyone if available to receive
the goods. I'm just going through the pleasure of a major company let’s for sake of argument call
them ‘Dell’ and a delivery company lets say ‘Walsh Western’. Try to deliver to
me a new computer. I've been lied too by Walsh Western
that the delivery was even made, you can see the tracing details below, The best
thing about the ‘Carded’ note is that it was made on the 13/07/06 the agreed
date for delivery I made with Dell, I know because I have screen shots of their
web page every hour since the machine was on tracking because I have them email
to my mobile using SSW Web Pager. So to say that a card was left at my address was a fallacy. Of course no card has been left, they goods were probably been sitting in the back of
the van for days . When you pay £51.06 + Vat for delivery you expect a level of service.
You know maybe a phone call to say the goods are going to be delivered can you
make sure someone is available or asked when you would like them to be
delivered so it can all be scheduled with everyone busy working life but no you
get treat like scum and told you missed the delivery date that they didn’t tell
you so unless you get the goods delivered Monday they are going back to the
manufacturer….some great service from Walsh Western

01:30 HOLYHEAD FERRY ARRIVED
09/07/06 21:30
07/07/06 22:00 RAHEEN DEPARTED EMF
But the
other thing to note is the great journey my machine has made, around Ireland,
then to Holyhead and then to the west midlands and then finally to London, only
to be back on the truck to the West midland J only to be back in London and an
alleged delivery made odd thing you may question about the whole journey
is why the goods were scanned into the delivery depot in Muswell Hill
London and yet some 1 hour, 53 minutes later were back in
Coventry, very efficient drivers or if this data is correct then some
delivery driver has clearly broken the law as any reliable route finder at 70
miles a hour for a motorway journey, (can delivery lorries go 70 or is it 55?)
puts the journey time at 1 hour 58 minutes. So for the boxes to be scanned
into the depot then packed straight back out of a lorry and sent back seem
strange does it not?
I can tell this one is going to run for a bit, so I’ll keep you
posted.
